Welcome to the first issue of AI Works.

This publication exists for one reason: the people responsible for deploying AI at scale have been underserved. The conversation has been dominated by hype, by vendor marketing, by academic papers that don’t translate to the boardroom, and by fearmongering about existential risk.

What’s been missing is practical, rigorous, independent journalism for the people actually doing the work.

CIOs, CTOs, Chief AI Officers, Chief Data Officers, Heads of Digital Transformation — you are the ones accountable for making AI deliver. You’re the ones who have to choose the platforms, govern the data, manage the risks, and show a return. You’re the ones who have to say “no” to use cases that don’t make sense, and “yes” to the ones that do.

And you’ve been doing it without a publication that speaks to you in your language.

That changes now.

What We Cover

This magazine is structured around six editorial channels that map directly to the work you do:

  • Applications & Agents — What are the real use cases? What’s working? What’s failing?

  • Transformation & Adoption — How do you change an organisation to actually use AI?

  • Data & Governance — The foundation. Without this, nothing scales.

  • Platforms & Deployment — What do you build on? How do you deploy?

  • Security & Risk — Threat models, assurance, and when things go wrong.

  • AI Strategy — The long view. Where is this all going?

Our Approach

We are independent. We are not funded by vendors. We do not publish press releases dressed as articles. We do not chase clicks with sensationalism.

Every piece in this publication is built on reporting, on data, on conversations with practitioners, and on a clear-eyed assessment of what is actually happening in the enterprise.

Who This Is For

If you are accountable for deploying AI — for making it work, for making it safe, for making it pay — this publication is for you.

We are not here to tell you AI will save the world. We are not here to tell you it will destroy it. We are here to tell you what’s real, what’s proven, and what’s coming.
